Vehicle-specific route planning

The basic package provides you with two different vehicle profiles: "Fast Car" and "Slow Car". These profiles contain the average driving speeds applicable on motorways, trunk roads, country roads and city roads. The journey time for the calculated route is determined separately - regardless of the chosen vehicle.

map&guide base suggests, for example, an earlier departure time and a later arrival time for a slow car than for a fast car. Here of course the software also accounts for the fact that the driver will not always be able to maintain the highest permitted or technically possible speed - regardless of the type of road.

Less is sometimes more

A sensible driver may sometimes decide to use the slow vehicle profile for his Porsche. Frequent drivers in particular know that their actual driving speed is often higher than what is shown on the speedo.

If you have enough time to take a break every two hours or stop for a coffee every so often, you will definitely be more relaxed by the time you reach your destination - even if you arrive a little later than planned. To avoid having to rearrange your entire time schedule, simply choose the slow vehicle profile. This means you will be able to use your time much more effectively at your destination - whether business or pleasure.
