Optimisation for every vehicle

Whether you drive cars or lorries - with the Vehicle Manager you can create and modify as many vehicle profiles as you need. This means you always have the optimal vehicle settings (e.g. average speed and preferred road types) to hand for every new routing.

Is it generally necessary to omit ferries from the route of a heavy goods vehicle? It is usually to best for a lorry equipped for general cargo delivery to avoid toll roads? Does one of your drivers always take a bit longer to reach the destination? With the Vehicle Manager you can define the optimal settings for every vehicle in your fleet. Your route planning with map&guide base is therefore always far more exact than using a "rule of thumb" – and with no extra hassle or complications.

Save time and money but stay flexible

When you select a vehicle from the Vehicle Manager, the selection buttons are always configured to optimally suit your settings. However if you wish to change a specific setting, you can simply press the corresponding button.

This enables you to modify the default driving speed, for example, regardless of the current weather or traffic conditions but without changing the vehicle profile permanently. You can experiment with the function "Avoid toll roads" in a similar way. And if you do decide to permanently change the vehicle profile, this can be done in the Vehicle Manager in a matter of seconds.

Which vehicle should we use today?

Since you can create as many reference vehicles with different profiles (for purposes of comparison) as you want, you can save yourself from being overwhelmed by too much choice. Simply calculate the route with various different vehicle profiles and you will quickly see which vehicle is best.
